The best time to visit Iran  depends on what you want to see and do. The tips and information here help you know the ins and outs of travel in each season. Since Iran is a vast country with wide-ranging climatic conditions, you can come at any time of year and still have graceful times here.

Springtime is one of Iran’s most beautiful times of year when the temperature is mild, the sun warms up, the days are long and the gardens are green and blooming. It starts in almost mid-March with Nowrooz, Iranian’s New Year festival, which is always a glorious affair. Iran Travelling over Nowrooz provides you with lots of fun and joys in the celebrations, but it is likely to be crowded and expensive. So it is recommended to book your accommodation far in advance or join an organized iran tour if you want to travel to iran during high seasons. Iran is also elegant during the autumn when the colorful leaves cover the floor. This happened from mid-September through October. It is a great time for touring, sightseeing, desert trekking and caving around Iran. The weather is very pleasant in the most of the country and you can expect a mixture of sunny and cloudy days; so count autumn as the second high season for travelling to Iran.

Although summer is a traditional “low season” for inbound tourism in this country, domestic tourism is at its peak time due to the school holidays. There are some provinces with pleasant weather during June, July and August such as Azerbaijan and Fars. Fars is called “little Iran” as it has a four-season weather and the temperature varies between 25° and 40° Celsius at this time. For instance, Sepidan is one of the northern counties in Fars province with a lot of natural attractions and comfortable climate in summer time.

Here in Iran Snow usually coats the mountains from November to March. If you are a ski lover meet us then when you can enjoy the warm water spas, as well. You may also add southern cities to your Iran tour. Persian ocean islands like Kish and Qeshm are great destinations in winters; fantastic natural and geological attractions at the Qeshm geopark and Kish coral beaches are worth visiting. As you may experience a temperature difference of more than 50° Celsius in Iran during winter, don’t remember to pack tools both for Skiing and diving!

In general Iran is a cheap destination for foreign tourists but if you’re a budget traveler and you’re looking to save a dollar or two, visiting Iran during March, April and October is not a wise selection.
