Jewellery museum is one of the most previous collections of jewelries in the world that was established in 1955 and opened in 1960 under the supervisions of Iran central bank.

Here you will have a chance to look at the most dazzling and expensive jewels that is incomparable to any other collection of gemstone and jewels in the world.

This collection has been collected over centuries and has an interesting and instructive historical story in its heart.

Its main history dates back to Safavid era since there is no exact information about it before this era. Over two centuries, The Safavid kings collected these unique and precious jewels that were brought by the gem specialists of their court form all over the world. During Qajar and Pahlavi some more gems and jewels added to this collection but not as much has Safavid era.

Crowns, Tiaras, Thrones, Shields and many unusual things are of the times of this collection. But “Darya-ye-Noor “,” the Peacock throne”, “the Samarian Spinel “and “the bejeweled globe (Globe of Jewels)”, “Nadir Aigrette” and “ Kiani Crown “are the most important and notable ones.

Although “Kooh-e- Noor” ,too, was part of this collection in the past but now it is kept amongst the British Crown Jewels .

The gems and jewels of this collection are on a level that nobody even the most world’s professional evaluators aren’t able to determine the real value and price of them.
